Wedding dance workshop.

We're headed to a workshop at Metronome Dance Center in a bit to work on our moves for the Big Day. The brochure promises an overview of foxtrot and city swing dance styles.

My inner etymologist was pleased to learn that the foxtrot was named for the ragtime footwork of one Harry Fox.

I don't expect to leave the studio channeling a Nicholas brother or Astaire, but I hope to learn enough to acquit myself well when I take her hand and the music starts.

Perhaps I should pony up for some additional lessons -- check out this Balboa swing dancing clip and tell me it doesn't look like fun.
